Feelings of sadness, extreme grief at the loss of a loved one and or enduring other emotional trauma can result in feeling ‘out of touch’, or ‘in a fog’ and forgetting small details. Hunger and poor diet can also make it hard to concentrate. Feeling hungry is uncomfortable, and is the body’s way of saying that we need nutrients and energy. Forgetfulness can also be a sign of depression—or a consequence of it. If memory lapses are bugging you, it’s worth a conversation with your doctor to see if any reversible causes are at the root of the problem.


I went to see my family doctor about the situation. I was diagnosed with depression and put on Wellbutrin and Lexapro. Within months, I began experiencing a high level of confusion, lack of concentration , lack of memory , lack of coordination and.
