What are autoimmune symptoms

What is an autoimmune flare up and what can I do about it? What you should know about autoimmune disease? How do I reversed my autoimmune disease? The early symptoms of many autoimmune diseases are very similar, such as: fatigue.

Common symptoms of autoimmune disease include: Fatigue.

Joint pain and swelling. Abdominal pain or digestive issues. The immune system attacks and damages blood vessels in this group of autoimmune diseases.

Vasculitis can affect any organ, so symptoms vary widely and can occur almost anywhere in the body. Treatment includes reducing immune system activity, usually with prednisone or another corticosteroid. The average number of doctors a person visits before autoimmunity is suspected is six to 10. Yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes (jaundice).

Abnormal blood vessels on the skin.

I was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease, an autoimmune thyroid condition, in my second year of medical school, and I now specialize in helping people around the world reverse their symptoms. Another aspect of autoimmunity that is cause for alarm — besides the skyrocketing rates of it — is that autoimmune diseases often go undiagnosed for years. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms , especially a combination of several of them, you may have an autoimmune disease. Although each disease is unique, many share hallmark symptoms, such as fatigue, dizziness, and low-grade fever.

For many autoimmune diseases, symptoms come and go, or can be mild sometimes and severe at others. Flares are the sudden and severe onset of symptoms. The following is a partial checklist of frequently-noticed symptoms of the most common autoimmune conditions.

Numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Weight loss, insomnia, heat intolerance, or rapid heartbeat. Recurrent rashes or hives, sun sensitivity, a butterfly-shaped rash across your nose and cheeks. Difficulty concentrating or focusing. There are more than types of autoimmune diseases, and some have similar symptoms.

This makes it hard for your health care provider to know if you really have one of these diseases, and if so, which one. Getting a diagnosis can be frustrating and stressful. Often, the first symptoms are fatigue, muscle aches and a low fever.

Muscle pain is a common symptom Fibromyalgia, MS, rheumatoid arthritis, as well as Hashimotos and graves disease.

Autoimmune encephalitis (AE) can produce a very wide range of neuro-psychiatric symptoms. A major challenge in diagnosis is that different symptoms may appear at different times and different levels of intensity, so that the disease may mimic many other disorders. Some patients initially present with either neurological or psychiatric. Nevertheless, we’ve assembled a list of some of the most common signs and symptoms that may indicate that your dog’s immune system is causing illness: Chronic vomiting or diarrhea.

Changes in drinking behavior. Unexplained skin ailments. Your first symptoms of an autoimmune disease may be general, such as fatigue, low-grade fever, and difficulty concentrating, making autoimmune diseases difficult to diagnose at first.

You also may feel depressed and consult a doctor for that.
