Tick-borne encephalitis vaccine is a vaccine used to prevent tick-borne encephalitis (TBE). The disease is most common in Central and Eastern Europe, and Northern Asia. More than of people who receive the vaccine develop immunity. No TBE vaccines are licensed or available in the United States.
Two inactivated cell culture-derived TBE vaccines are available in Europe, in adult and pediatric formulations: FSME-IMMUN (also marketed as TicoVac) (Pfizer, France) and Encepur (GSK, Germany).

Allergy: Vaccines for TBE should not be administered to those with a history of severe allergic reaction such as anaphylaxis to any component of the vaccines. Two injections of the vaccine can protect you for about a year. A third injection can protect you for about years. You need to have the first injection at least month before travelling.
Search online for a travel clinic that offers it. The TBE vaccine is not available on the NHS. It costs about £per injection.
