Autoimmune what is it

What diseases are considered autoimmune? What is an autoimmune flare up and what can I do about it? What are common symptoms of autoimmune disease? Immune system disorders cause abnormally low activity or over activity of the immune system.

An autoimmune disease is a condition arising from an abnormal immune response to a normal body part.

There are at least types of autoimmune diseases. Nearly any body part can be involved. Common symptoms include low grade fever and feeling tired. Often symptoms come and go. The cause is generally unknown.

Autoimmune diseases can affect many parts of the body. No one is sure what causes autoimmune diseases.

They do tend to run in families. Women - particularly African-American, Hispanic-American, and Native-American women - have a higher risk for some autoimmune diseases. Common autoimmune diseases include type diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Wiskott–Aldrich syndrome (WAS) patients also present with eczema, autoimmune manifestations, recurrent bacterial infections and lymphoma. The exact cause of autoimmune disorders is unknown. One theory is that some microorganisms (such as bacteria or viruses) or drugs may trigger changes that confuse the immune system.

This may happen more often in people who have genes that make them more prone to autoimmune disorders. Conventional medicine will tell you that autoimmune diseases are caused by genetics. And there certainly is a genetic component to them. However, twin studies have shown that genetics only accounts for about of the chance that you will develop an autoimmune disorder. The autoimmune diet is a powerful way to reduce inflammation and autoimmune conditions.

When the body is inflame your immune system is weakened. This can lead to the development autoimmune conditions. Continuing the cycle, autoimmune conditions cause more inflammation in the body. A healthy immune system defends the body against disease and infection.

But if the immune system malfunctions, it mistakenly attacks healthy cells, tissues, and organs.

Called autoimmune disease, these attacks can affect any part of the body, weakening bodily function and even turning life-threatening. The problem causes your immune cells to attack your body by mistake. These diseases can affect almost any part of the body.

It’s a diet that is thought to help heal your gut to reduce. How to use autoimmune in a sentence. In fact, I myself had an autoimmune disease called Graves.

The average number of doctors a person visits before autoimmunity is suspected is six to 10. It often takes up to five years for an official autoimmune diagnosis.
