How are the immune system and lymphatic system related

Do you mean the lymphative system and the endocrine system. There are exocrine glands which secrete homones externally on surfaces. The endocrine system is an entire body system.


Lymph is actually the blood plasma that leaks from. Well you can remove the reproductive system and still live but apart from it they all work together keeping homeostasis. Even the muscular system because it is needed for movement (finding food) and the skeletal system which besides.

Lymphocytes , monocytes, lymph organs , and lymph vessels make up the system. The immune system is the major component of this defense. Antigens are chemicals on the surface of a cell.


Your immune system plays an important role in defending you against the ones that could cause harm. The relationship between your immune and lymphatic system is a close one. Unlike the circulatory system which has the heart to pump the bloo the lymphatic system circulates by action of surrounding muscles. Some fluid ( blood plasma ) leaks out into the tissues via tiny capillaries, contributing to interstitial flui which eventually drains back into the lymphatic system.


The innate immunity is non specific type of immunity and is present by birth. This is not developed by lymphatic system.

One example of innate immunity is the presence of HCl (hydrochloric acid) in stomach. The white blood cells fight infection in the spleen and special vessels throughout the body called lymph nodes. The primary function of the lymphatic system is to transport lymph, a fluid containing infection-fighting white blood cells, throughout the body.


These intruders come in the form of foreign bodies, most typically referred to as antigens. The lymph fluid that flows throughout the body is increased when infection is. There are two types of lymphocyte, T cells and B cells.


They both travel through the lymphatic system. As they reach the lymph nodes, they are filtered and become activated by contact with viruses, bacteria, foreign particles,. The lymphatic system produces white blood cells, known as lymphocytes. But these two are different in function. This system also includes lymph nodes, clusters of immune system cells that protect the body from infections.


In addition to its protective role, the lymphatic system is essential for returning vital proteins. It helps the body fight disease and infection. Immune : The lymph nodes in particular help protect the body by removing foreign material such as bacteria and tumor cells from the lymphatic stream and by producing lymphocytes that function in the immune response. Interstitial fluid: Fluid that fills the spaces in between cells. Lymph: Fluid that circulates within lymph vessels and lymph nodes.
