Someone with dementia can withdraw from this world’s activities for years, by being not intereste non-interactive, uncomprehending, unfocused. Again, they don’t play by the rules. The end stage of dementia is the most difficult stage for those suffering from the disease, and also for family members, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.


Victims lose what is left of their intellectual and physical capabilities and become completely dependent on others. In the end , most people with late- stage dementia die of a medical complication related to their underlying dementia. For instance, a person may die from an infection like aspiration pneumonia, which occurs as a result of swallowing difficulties, or a person may die from a blood clot in the lung as a result of being immobile and bedbound.
