A disease of the immune system

What are the two main groups of diseases of the immune system? If a person is born with a severely defective immune system, death from infection by a virus , bacterium, fungus or parasite will occur. Some issues are less pervasive, such as pollen allergy , while others are extensive, such as genetic disorders that wipe out the presence or function of an entire set of immune cells. Your immune system is your body’s defense against infections and other harmful invaders. Without it, you would constantly get sick from germs such as bacteria or viruses. Immune System Disorders. An autoimmune disease is a condition in which your immune system mistakenly attacks your body. The immune system normally guards against germs like bacteria and viruses.
